Fatboy Slim es el seudónimo más célebre de Norman Cook, un músico y DJ británico que revolucionó la escena electrónica mundial a finales de los años 90. Tras su paso por la banda indie pop The Housemartins, Cook adoptó este nombre para dar rienda suelta a su fascinación por el “big beat”, un género caracterizado por sus ritmos de batería pesados, samples de funk, hip-hop y rock, y una energía festiva inigualable. Con álbumes icónicos y videoclips que se convirtieron en hitos de la cultura pop, logró sacar la música de club a las masas, encabezando festivales multitudinarios como el legendario Big Beach Boutique en Brighton. Su estilo se define por una técnica de muestreo ingeniosa y una capacidad única para crear himnos que resultan tan efectivos en una pista de baile como en las listas de éxitos comerciales, consolidándose como uno de los arquitectos del sonido electrónico contemporáneo.
